FAQs
Do your Physiotherapists treat men and children?
We currently offer Pelvic Health services to women, and men going through pre and post prostate surgery interventions. We do not offer paediatric pelvic floor physiotherapy at this stage.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
You do not require a referral from your doctor for Physiotherapy or Physio-led exercise appointments however, if you have a complex and chronic health condition you may be eligible for Medicare referral to subsidise your appointments. Please discuss this with your doctor.
Do you recommend cancelling my pelvic health appointment if I have my period?
It does not affect the Physiotherapists assessment or treatment, however, we can assist you to reschedule if you would prefer to.
Do you offer group based exercise sessions?
Small Group Physio Led Exercise (2 clients: 1 physio) will run at 9am on Wednesday and 9am on Friday from the 25th of February 2026.
If you are interested in small group exercise, please email: caitlindaleyphysio@hotmail.com for pricing and further information.
If I do not wish to consent to a vaginal examination, can I still have a pelvic floor assessment?
Whilst a digital vaginal or rectal examination is the most accurate assessment, we can offer less invasive assessment options such as visual, trans-perineal, or trans-abdominal ultrasound.
We consider your whole body in your assessment, including your breathing patterns, rib and thoracic spine mobility, and muscle restrictions.
Our Physiotherapists will fully explain your consent document prior to any examination.
